I wrote one more Elizabethan just because I wanted to. Okay, the reality here is that I desperately wanted to write Nick's story as a sequel to Lady in Waiting. Somehow, it also turned into an Elizabethan ghost story. This book returned to the world in March of 2008 as a special issue through CVS Pharmacy! Thanks to Denise Marcil, Jennifer McCord, Questmark and CVS Pharmacy, just like a ghost this book came back to visit us again in March of 2008. What a pleasant surprise and a goad to me to get back to writing!
Here's your blurb and the original cover art:
Widowed Lady Arabella Purfoy becomes a pawn in a game played between Queen Elizabeth and Lord Nicholas Graceton, casting Belle into a marriage she doesn't want and into a household that doesn't want or welcome her. Master James Wyatt, steward to Lord Nicholas, is determined to keep the interloping Belle away from his vulnerable and ailing master. Only too late does he realize that Belle's quiet courage and pure spirit have won his heart, leaving him hopelessly, irrevocably, in love with his employer's wife.
Strong, vivid writing and compelling characters...intensely sensual
